What will it be for the 10-2, BCS 4th ranked Georgia Bulldogs? After another wild weekend of college football, the Dawgs have a slight chance to face Ohio State in the BCS National Championship game. The Missouri Tigers and West Virginia Mountaineers, BCS no. 1 and 2, both lost on Saturday opening the door for the Bulldogs.
However, the LSU Tigers won the SEC Championship game over Tennessee to finish the season 11-2. There is speculation that LSU may jump over Georgia in the BCS rankings. Virginia Tech, who won the ACC, and Southern Cal, who won the PAC 10, are also in good position to play Ohio State.
So what happens if Georgia doesn’t make the National Championship game? The Dawgs have an outside shot at the Rose Bowl to face USC. But a more likely scenario would be the Sugar Bowl to face the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.
Stay tuned! It will be a crazy day. The BCS Selection Show is at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
