Dawgs Escape Columbia with 14-7 Victory Over Gamecocks

Matchups between the Georgia Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks are usually low-scoring, defensive battles. Saturday’s contest was no different as the Dawgs sputtered on offense and had to rely on great defense to escape Columbia with a 14-7 win. Knowshon Moreno scored the only Bulldog touchdown on a 4-yard run in the 3rd quarter.

The win moves the Bulldogs to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the SEC. However, Georgia fell to 3rd in the latest AP and USA Today Polls. They were jumped by Oklahoma who is now ranked 2nd. The USC Trojans held on to the top spot after crushing Ohio State 35-3.
