After getting blown out by Loyola-Chicago last night, the Georgia Bulldogs were looking for redemption against the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Trailing by 11 with just under 9 minutes left to play, the Dawgs rallied to defeat EMU 61-60 in the 2nd round of the NIT Season Tip-Off.
Corey Butler led the Bulldogs with 12 points, all on 3-point baskets. Terrence Woodbury and Dustin Ware each added 11 points for Georgia (2-1).
Next up for the Hoop Dawgs is a home game with Presbyterian. They will then play consolation round games in the NIT Season Tip-Off on November 24 and 25. Opponents, venues and times will be announced at a later date.
