SicEmDawgs.com

For the second straight week, Matthew Stafford connected with A.J. Green for the game winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter. The score gave the Georgia Bulldogs a 17-13 victory over the Auburn Tigers. It was also the second straight week that the Bulldogs defense had to withstand a late drive by the opposition.

Last week, Demarcus Dobbs intercepted a Randall Cobb pass with less than a minute to play. This week, the Bulldogs slipped by after the Tigers turned the ball over on downs at the Georgia 14-yard line.

Georgia (9-2, 6-2 SEC) now trails the Tigers (5-6, 2-5 SEC) by only two games in the overall series which began in 1892. The Tigers hold only a 53-51-8 advantage. The win gives the Bulldogs three in a row over the Tigers, the first 3-win streak for the Dawgs since 1945-48.
