Point Guard Vincent Williams Commits to the Georgia Bulldogs

Point guard Vincent Williams of Homestead, Florida (South Dade High School) has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for 2009. Williams is the first verbal commitment for new head coach Mark Fox. Reports indicate that Williams will send in his Letter of Intent this week.

Williams (6-1, 160) committed to UGA over an offer from Saint Louis and interest from Marquette, N.C. State, TCU, UAB, VCU, Wichita State and Winthrop. As a Senior, Williams averaged 26 points and 5 assists per game.

Another guard that Mark Fox was looking at, Derrio Green of Panama City, Florida, has committed to Charlotte.
