Rising senior Kris Durham will have shoulder surgery and will miss the 2009 season. Durham is eligible to receive a redshirt in 2009 and can return to play for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2010.

As a junior, Kris Durham played in 10 games, starting in 4, and caught 13 passes for 199 yards (15.3 ypc) and 1 touchdown. In November, Durham broke his hand and missed the game against Georgia Tech. He recovered and returned for the Dawgs’ win in the Capital One Bowl over Michigan State.

A.J. Green is the number one receiver for the Bulldogs. Other receivers that will play, but need to step up their game include Michael Moore, Tony Wilson and Tavarres King. New signees Marlon Brown and Rantavious Wooten could also play, as well as tight end Orson Charles and cornerback Branden Smith.
