Florida State led Georgia 4-2 heading into the bottom of the eighth inning, but scored four more runs to break the game open and defeat the Dawgs 8-2. Rich Poythress hit a two-run homer for Georgia in the fourth to account for their only runs.

The Bulldogs (38-23) will face the Ohio State Buckeyes in an elimination game today at noon on ESPNU. The winner will face Florida State at 4 p.m., also an elimination game.
