Offensive Tackle Brent Benedict Commits to the Dawgs

Offensive tackle Brent Benedict of Jacksonville, Florida (Bolles H.S.) has verbally committed to Mark Richt and the Georgia Bulldogs. Benedict is the 6th commitment for the Dawgs for 2010.

Benedict (6-5, 278, 5.07) committed to UGA over offers from several top schools including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia Tech, Miami, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina and USC. ranks Benedict as a 4-star recruit, no. 40 in the Rivals100 and the no. 5 offensive tackle in the country. ranks him as a 4-star recruit and the no. 9 offensive tackle.
