The Mark Fox era begins tonight at Stegeman Coliseum when the Georgia Bulldogs face off in an exhibition basketball game against the North Georgia Saints. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. ET and admission is free.

Mark Fox was hired as the new head coach to replace Dennis Felton, who restored respect to the program but struggled with the product on the court. At Nevada, Fox compiled an overall record of 123-43 (66-16 WAC). He led the Wolf Pack to three NCAA Tournament appearances (2-3 record) and two College Basketball Invitational appearances.

The Bulldogs hope to improve on their finish in the SEC last year. Georgia went 12-20 last season, including 3-13 in the Southeastern Conference. Most media sources have picked the Dawgs last in the SEC East and last or second to last overall in the conference.

The 2009-10 Georgia Bulldogs Basketball Media Guide is available to view online at GeorgiaDogs.com.
