Scott Lakatos has been named the new defensive backs coach of the Georgia Bulldogs, the school announced today. Lakatos was the defensive backs coach at Connecticut for the past six seasons.

Lakatos helped the Huskies defense achieve the 9th ranking in pass efficiency defense in 2008 and 2009. The Huskies were ranked 10th in the same category in 2007.

• 1996-99 - Maine; Secondary & Special Teams Coach
• 2000 - Maine; Defensive Coordinator & Linebacker Coach
• 2001-03 - Rutgers; Secondary Coach
• 2004-2010 - Connecticut; Secondary Coach
