The Spring 2010 college basketball signing period began today and the Georgia Bulldogs have signed two recruits. Mark Fox received Letters of Intent from guard Sherrard Brantley and forward Donte Williams.
Brantley (6-2, 170) signed with the Bulldogs over offers from Central Michigan, Creighton and LSU. He committed to Georgia via Facebook on April 2. In one season at Northwest Florida Community College, Brantley averaged 13.7 points per game and made 113 three-pointers (43%).
Williams (6-9, 200) signed with UGA over offers from Auburn, East Carolina, Georgia Southern, UAB and UCF. He averaged 13 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks a game during his senior season at Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, Georgia.
The early signing period runs through Wednesday, May 19, 2010. The Bulldogs have two open scholarships remaining, and are looking to sign a combination of Dwayne Polee, Marcus Thornton or Josh Langford.
