2009-10 Georgia Bulldogs Basketball Signees

The Spring Signing Period for basketball ended on Wednesday, May 19. Mark Fox and the Georgia Bulldogs finished the 2009-10 recruiting season with a good class of four recruits: Sherrard Brantley, Cady Lalanne, Marcus Thornton and Donte Williams.

Listed below is a summary of each 2009-10 Hoop Dawgs signee:

Sherrard Brantley
Brantley is a 6-2, 170-pound guard from Dublin, Georgia (Dublin High School). In his only season at Northwest Florida Community College, Brantley averaged 13.7 points per game and made 113 three-pointers (43%). He signed with Mark Fox and the Dawgs on April 14, 2010.

Cady Lalanne
Lalanne is a 6-8, 215-pound power forward from Orlando, Florida (Oak Ridge High School). He is rated as a 3-star recruit and no. 142 in the 2010 Rivals150. Lalanne signed his LOI on November 11 and was the only recruit to sign with the Dawgs in the Fall of 2009.

Marcus Thornton
Thornton is a 6-7, 215-pound power forward from Atlanta, Georgia (Westlake High School). He signed with Clemson in the Fall of 2009, but was released after Oliver Purnell left for DePaul. Thornton was named the 2010 Mr. Basketball in Georgia.

Donte Williams
Williams is a 6-9, 200-pound power forward from Lithonia, Georgia (Miller Grove High School). He averaged 13 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks a game during his senior season. Williams signed with UGA on April 14, 2010.
