The 20th ranked Temple Owls defeated the Georgia Bulldogs 65-58 on Friday night in the 2nd round of the 2010 Old Spice Classic.

Gerald Robinson, Jr. scored 16 points, Travis Leslie scored 14 and Trey Thompkins added 13 for the Dawgs.

“We just couldn’t string together enough stops, especially in the second half,” Georgia coach Mark Fox said.  “Our defense failed us and you have to give Temple credit.  They’re a good team and they outplayed us.

“They played zone more in the first half, but I thought we handled the zone much better than last night. The key for us is that we’ve got to be a little more hard-nosed on the defensive end.”

The Hoop Dawgs are now 3-2 overall and will face the Manhattan Jaspers in their final game of the 2010 Old Spice Classic. The game will tip off at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 28.
