3rd Annual Hoops In Overdrive Boys Basketball Shoot-out

UGA basketball fans can catch a glimpse of the future as signees Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Greenville HS, GA ranked #11 ESPNU) and 6’10” Tim Dixon (Oldsmar Christian, FL) will be participating in the 3rd Annual Hoops in Overdrive Boys Basketball Shoot-out, a 28 team 3-day high school basketball event held at Centennial High School.

Greenville High School will face Rockdale County High School on Thursday, Dec. 30th at 8:00 p.m. Oldsmar Christian will play New Birth High School at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31 and then again at noon on Saturday, Jan. 1 versus Christian Faith Academy.

Battle of 1 #’s… America’s top ranked player vs. nation’s top ranked team

The most anticipated high school basketball game of the season is coming to the Atlanta area. The nation’s consensus top rated high school senior, 6’5″Austin Rivers (Winter Park, FL son of current Boston Celtics head coach/NBA great Doc Rivers, and future Duke University Blue Devil) will face the top rated high school basketball team in the country, Georgia’s own Milton High School. Milton will be led by the senior trio of Julian Royal (committed to Georgia Tech, #58 ESPNU), Dai-jon Parker (committed to Vanderbilt, #35 ESPNU) and Shannon Scott (committed to Ohio State, #63 ESPNU). This clash of the titans will be Friday, Dec. 31 at 6:00 p.m.
