Georgia beats Furman 64-50

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 17 points to lead the Georgia Bulldogs over the Furman Paladins 64-50 on Friday night in Athens.

Caldwell-Pope was one of four Bulldogs to score in double-figures. Gerald Robinson scored 13, Dustin Ware had 11 and Donte Williams added 10.

After a 9-9 tie early in the game, Georgia went on a run to lead 32-17 with 4:18 left in the first half. That 15 point lead was the largest of the game for the Dawgs, who led by 11 at halftime.

The Bulldogs (7-5, 0-0 SEC) finished the game shooting 48.8% (21-43) and 50% (6-12) from three-point range.

Georgia’s next game is Tuesday against Winthrop in Athens. The game will be televised by CSS and ESPN3 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
