Georgia Bulldogs Signing Day 2012 Updates & Comment Thread

Posted by Kevin on 02/01/2012

Signing Day 2012Wednesday, February 1 is National Signing Day 2012. The Georgia Bulldogs are expected to sign a Top 10 class and, with a few late surprises, could even move into the Top 5 in some services.

Mark Richt and the Georgia Bulldogs already have 17 verbal commitments and ESPN has the Dawgs currently ranked 5th overall.

The Dawgs are hoping to land a few of their big-time uncommitted targets: Josh Harvey-Clemons, Josh Dawson, Avery Young and Cordarelle Patterson.

Quarterback Faton Bauta, offensive lineman Mark Beard and running back Keith Marshall have already enrolled at Georgia. Two of their scholarships will count towards the numbers for the 2011 class.

As we do each year, Sicemdawgs.com will post the 2012 Georgia Bulldog signees as they come in. We will also update this post throughout the day (see “Live Signing Day Updates” below). Feel free to join the signing day discussion in the comments section.

Hoping we get Joshua Harvey-Clemons. Got a feeling he’s FSU bound though.

Avery Young has committed to Auburn. That really sucks for Georgia. We signed 3 linemen today but need more.

Joshua Harvey-Clemons told ESPN he’s 100% Georgia and that they should be receiving his LOI this afternoon or tomorrow.

By all accounts Georgia still could sign 5-7 more recruits. What about Sam Bowers? Jai Steib, R.J. Robinson, Shaquan Brock, Jacob Southerland, Fred Zerblis, Mathew Graffinred and William Goodwin or other recruits that could play in the Georgia system but hasn’t
    committed else where.

I hope Georgia doesn’t stop at 18, when I look at the other SEC teams and they are signing in the twenties!

I hope Josh Henry-Clemons sticks with his commitment to Georgia and I believe that when and if he commits, his grandfather will see that all of the Georgia faithful will be proud and grateful to have his grandson at Georgia!

Glad Joshs family let him go where HE wanted! They will find out later that the added expense, was well worth it to be a DAWG. Anythings better than playing football for “MUSH-MOUTH!!
