2013 LB Johnny O’Neal commits to Georgia

Johnny O’Neal, a four-star linebacker from Dublin, committed to the Georgia Bulldogs yesterday. He is the 9th commitment for the Dawgs for the class of 2013.

O’Neal (6-2, 225) committed to UGA over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Rivals.com rates Johnny O’Neal as a 4-star recruit and no. 88 in the 2013 Rivals100. Scout.com also rates him 4-stars and the no. 9 middle linebacker in the country.

O’Neal is the first middle linebacker commit for the Bulldogs, and they didn’t sign one in 2012. According to Rivals.com, seven of Georgia’s 2013 commitments are rated 4-stars and two are three-stars.
