Reuben Foster sets 3 p.m. Press Conference

SicEmDawgs.com

Reuben FosterReuben Foster, a 5-star linebacker from Auburn, Alabama, has set a press conference for 3 p.m. ET today. Foster is currently committed to Alabama and could announce a change to Georgia or Auburn.

Foster (6-2, 230) committed to the Crimson Tide on July 18, 2011. But Georgia and Auburn have never backed off and could gain his commitment this afternoon.

The nature of the press conference wasn’t specified by Foster, but it is expected that he will change his commitment or open up his recruitment.

One thing Georgia has going for them is that Foster wants to play college football with his best friend Tray Matthews, a current UGA commitment. Earlier this month, Foster told UGASports.com “I’m definitely going to play with Tray – period, no matter what the school.”

Foster also said that he, Matthews and 4-star running back Alvin Kamara all want to play for the same team. Kamara (5-10, 192, 4.55) has offers from all the top schools but hasn’t committed to anyone yet.

Rivals.com rates Reuben Foster as the no. 1 inside linebacker and the no. 2 overall recruit in the country. Scout.com also rates Foster 5-stars and the no. 1 linebacker in the nation.

Georgia currently has 19 commitments for the 2013 class and could possibly sign as many as 31 due to defections and dismissals.

Update (3:10 p.m. ET): Reuben Foster has announced that he is now committed to the Auburn Tigers and is “100% confident in his final decision.”
