Georgia ranked 6th in 2012 Preseason AP Top 25 Poll

AP PollThe Georgia Bulldogs are ranked 6th in the 2012 Preseason AP Top 25 Poll. It’s the same ranking that the Dawgs received in the preseason Coaches Poll.

Georgia received 1,107 total points and no first place votes. USC was voted no. 1, followed by Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, and Oregon.

Only two of Georgia’s 2012 opponents are ranked in the preseason poll. South Carolina is ranked 9th and Florida is 23rd.

The SEC and Big 12 lead with six teams in the Top 25 poll. The Big Ten is second with five teams, followed by the Pac-12 and ACC with three and Big East and MWC with one.
