4-Star DT Kelsey Griffin commits to Georgia

Kelsey Griffin4-star defensive tackle Kelsey Griffin of Hoschton, GA has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. UGA now has 29 commitments for the 2013 class.

“I am committing to Georgia,” Griffin told UGASports.com. “I fell in love with Georgia at first sight really and I just love it there. I just prayed about it and relied on God, and Georgia is where I wanted to go.”

Griffin (6-1, 289) plays for Mill Creek High School. He committed to the Bulldogs over offers from Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Rivals.com rates Griffin 4-stars, the no. 12 defensive tackle and no. 144 in the Rivals250 2013. Scout.com also rates him 4-stars and the no. 10 defensive tackle.

Kelsey Griffin is the fourth defensive tackle commitment the Dawgs. He joins John Atkins, DeAndre Johnson, and Chris Mayes.

Update (9 p.m. ET): Griffin is no longer committed to the Bulldogs, UGASports.com has reported.

“I guess you can say he is, but he isn’t,” the elder Griffin said. “We just have to get some things worked out.”
