Gametime 2012 – Georgia Southern at Georgia

Georgia BulldogsOn Saturday, the #5 Georgia Bulldogs (9-1, 7-1 SEC) host the Georgia Southern Eagles. The game will be televised by WSB-TV Channel 2 at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Georgia is coming off of a 38-0 thrashing of Auburn, a victory that clinched the SEC Eastern Division title for the Dawgs. The Bulldogs will play in their 5th SEC Championship Game on Dec. 1, likely against Alabama.

Georgia Southern, 8-2 overall and 6-2 in the Southern Conference, beat Howard last week 69-26.

The Bulldogs and Eagles have met four times overall and the Dawgs have come away victorious each time. In their last meeting in 2008, Georgia won 45-21.

Georgia definitely won’t be overlooking Georgia Southern, as the Eagles run the same triple-option offense as Georgia Tech. The Dawgs defense will also face the rush-heavy attack on Nov. 24 when the Jackets visit Athens.

Go Dawgs!
