The Georgia Bulldogs will play in the 2013 Charleston Classic presented by Foster Grant basketball tournament, event organizers announced today.
The 2013 Charleston Classic, which will be held in November, includes eight teams and will feature a bracket format with 12 games over three days. Six of the eight teams are Clemson, Georgia, Nebraska, New Mexico, Temple, and UAB. The remaining two teams will be announced on a later date.
This will be the fourth consecutive year that the Hoop Dawgs have played in an early-season tournament. Georgia has played in the Old Spice Classic (2010), Progressive CBE Classic (2011), and Progressive Legends Classic (2012). In 2014, the Bulldogs will participate in the NIT Season Tip-Off.
Georgia’s 2013-14 basketball schedule now has five confirmed games. UGA is also scheduled to host Georgia Tech and travel to George Washington next season.
