Georgia Bulldogs tailback Ken Malcome will transfer from UGA to seek “more playing time some place else,” the school announced today.

Malcome, a redshirt sophomore, rushed 57 times for 274 yards and two touchdowns in 2012. He finishes his career at Georgia with 446 yards rushing, two rushing touchdowns, and two receptions for 23 yards.

“I have made this decision because I think I can get more playing time some place else,” Malcome said.  “I have enjoyed my time at Georgia and appreciate the opportunity that Coach (Mark) Richt and the other coaches have given me here.  I look forward to my next challenge.”

A Rivals.com 3-star recruit, Ken Malcome (6-0, 226) signed with the Dawgs back in February 2010 after graduating from Southwest Dekalb High School in Decatur, GA.

“We are very appreciative of Ken’s contributions to our program and will certainly assist him any way we can in finding a school to continue his career,” said Richt.  “We wish him nothing but the best.”
