Defensive tackle Kendall Baker of Atlanta, GA (Marist) verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs yesterday. He is the 12th commitment for UGA’s 2014 recruiting class.

Baker (6-6, 297) committed to the Dawgs over offers from Auburn, Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas Tech, UCF, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

“I want to play in front of the home crowd,” Baker told UGASports.com. “I grew up here. I grew up watching Georgia. I have family and friends here and they would be able to see me. Then when I went up there, it felt like I was a part of the family there. Ever since Georgia offered me, they recruited me hard. They recruited me as hard as any school throughout the process.”

Rivals.com rates Baker as a 4-star recruit, the no. 13 defensive tackle, and no. 167 in the Rivals250 2014. Scout.com also rates him 4-stars and the no. 28 offensive tackle.

Baker is a versatile recruit that can play on both the defensive and offensive lines. He said he is 100% to Georgia and is done with recruiting.
