5-star athlete Terry Godwin of Hogansville, GA (Callaway) has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for the class of 2015. Godwin is UGA’s second 2015 commitment this week.

Godwin (6-0, 165, 4.56) committed to the Dawgs over most of the top schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Notre Dame, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

“I would like to thank everyone would’ve been there and helped me through this recruitin (sic) process. Feels good to become a BULLDOG,” Godwin tweeted this morning.

247Sports rates Godwin a five-star recruit and the No. 3 recruit in Georgia for 2015. He is also rated a four-star prospect, the nation’s No. 23 overall player, and the No. 5 cornerback by Rivals.com.

Godwin is Georgia’s 3rd verbal commitment for the class of 2015. Safety Rico McGraw committed to the Bulldogs on Thursday, while wide receiver Christian Owens offered his commitment last April.
