UGA running back Todd Gurley and linebacker Ramik Wilson have each been named to Phil Steele’s 2014 preseason All-America First-Team.

Here is what Steele had to say about Gurley and Wilson:

Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia

Last season, Gurley missed three games with injury but still accounted for 1,430 total yards rushing and receiving and 16 touchdowns. With quarterback Aaron Murray now gone, look for the Bulldogs to rely more on the ground game this year as Gurley has a chance to easily top his sensational freshman season of 2012 when he had 1,385 rush yards and 17 touchdowns.

Ramik Wilson, LB, Georgia

In 2013, Wilson easily led the SEC with 133 tackles (20 more tackles than No. 2) and added 11 tackles for loss. This season he heads a Georgia linebacker corps that I rate as the best in the country. Wilson ranks as my No. 2 inside linebacker and could be a first-round draft pick in 2015.

No Georgia Bulldog players were selected to Phil Steele’s Second-Team, but linebacker Leonard Floyd was named to the Third-Team Defense.

Overall, four players from the SEC were named to the First-Team Offense and five were named to the First-Team Defense.
