UGA Freshman OL Jake Edwards Out for the 2014 Season

UGA freshman offensive lineman Jake Edwards will miss the 2014 season after tearing his ACL and LCL in agility drills this summer, Dawgs247 has reported.

Edwards (6-4, 271) committed to the Bulldogs in June of 2013 and signed with UGA this past February. He played offensive guard at Heard County High School in Franklin, Georgia.

Although the injury is a blow to his development, it was possible that he was going to redshirt the 2014 season anyway. He will now definitely redshirt and should be fully recovered in time for the start of the 2015 season.
