Loss to Tech drops UGA to 15th in AP and Coaches polls

After their 30-24 overtime loss at home to Georgia Tech, the Georgia Bulldogs have dropped to 15th in both the AP Poll and the Amway Coaches Poll for Week 15.

Alabama jumped Florida State in the AP Poll to claim the top spot. The Tide are followed by Florida State (2), Oregon (3), TCU (4), Baylor (5), Ohio State (6), Michigan State (7), and Arizona (8).

In the Coaches Poll, Alabama is first followed by Florida State (2), Oregon (3), TCU (4), Baylor (5), Ohio State (6), Michigan State (7), and Arizona (8).

On Tuesday, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will release their sixth set of Top 25 rankings. UGA is currently ranked 9th there but will drop.

Georgia’s next contest will be their bowl game, which should be known by Sunday evening at the latest.
