Hoop Dawgs Receive Commitment From Trey Thompkins

Howard "Trey" Thompkins, a Rivals.com and Scout.com 5-Star power forward from Lithonia, Georgia, has committed to Dennis Felton and the Georgia Bulldogs for 2008.  "I want to help bring Georgia back to how it was during the days of Dominique Wilkins," Thompkins told the Athens Banner-Herald. "I think it will be a good fit for me.  I'll be close to home and be part of a program that's on the rise."

Thompkins (6-8, 225) committed to the Dawgs over offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU Michigan, Michigan State and Wake Forest.  The Fall Signing Period begins on Wednesday, November 7, 2007.
