Georgia got off to a familiar slow start and fell to the LSU Tigers 68-63 in the 2nd round of the 2013 SEC Tournament in Nashville.
The loss likely ends the 2012-13 season for the Hoop Dawgs, who finish 15-17 overall and 9-9 in the SEC.
Georgia led only one time in the game at 2-0 and later fell behind by as many as 23 points. The Dawgs trailed 39-19 at halftime.

The 2013 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament Bracket is set and the Georgia Bulldogs have been seeded 8th. This year’s tournament will be played at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Georgia will face no. 9 LSU on Thursday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m. ET. The game will be televised by the SEC Network.
If Georgia defeats LSU, they will face the no. 1 Florida Gators on Friday at 1 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

ESPN Films’ next SEC “Storied” documentary, Miracle 3, will premiere on Sunday, March 3, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPNU. The film chronicles the events that ensued after a tornado hit the Georgia Dome during the 2008 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament.
After the severe weather damaged the roof of the Dome, the tournament was relocated to Alexander Memorial Coliseum on the campus of Georgia Tech.

Georgia was hot on the first day of the 2012 SEC Tournament. On day two, they went ice cold and fell to Vanderbilt 63-41.
The loss ends the 2011-12 season for the Hoop Dawgs, who finish 15-17 overall and 5-11 in the SEC.
The game got off to a shaky start when Georgia’s Marcus Thornton picked up two fouls in the first 1:30 of the game.

Gerald Robinson scored 23 points to lead Georgia over Mississippi State 71-61 in the first round of the 2012 SEC Tournament in New Orleans Thursday night.
Georgia trailed by eight points with just over seven minutes remaining in the first half, but closed the half with a 16-6 run to take a 31-29 lead into the break.

Georgia blew a 14-point lead with about 7 minutes remaining in the game and lost to Alabama 65-59 in overtime at the 2011 SEC Tournament. The loss drops Georgia to 21-11 overall.
Travis Leslie, who led the Dawgs with 24 points, dunked home a lob from Gerald Robinson to make it 48-34 with 6:59 left in the game. But multiple missed scoring opportunities, free-throws and turnovers allowed the Crimson Tide to get back in the game.

Trey Thompkins scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Georgia over Auburn 69-51 in the first round of the 2011 SEC Tournament. The win improves UGA’s overall record to 21-10.
Travis Leslie also had a double-double for the Bulldogs with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Gerald Robinson scored 11 while Jeremy Price and Chris Barnes each added 8.

The Georgia Bulldogs, who finished fourth in the SEC East with a 9-7 record, will face the 5th seed Auburn Tigers in the 1st round of the 2011 SEC Tournament in Atlanta. The game will tip off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Thursday and will be televised by the SEC Network.
Should the Dawgs beat the Tigers, they will face the Alabama Crimson Tide on Friday at 1:00 p.m. ET. Earlier this year, Georgia beat Auburn at home (81-72 OT) and lost at Alabama 65-57.

Gerald Robinson scored 16 points to lead the Georgia Bulldogs over the LSU Tigers 73-53 Wednesday night. The win improves Georgia’s record to 20-9 overall and 9-6 in the SEC.
The Bulldogs started slow and trailed 13-4, but recovered to lead at halftime 30-25. Georgia blew the game open in the second half with several impressive dunks and outplayed the undermanned Tigers.

Vanderbilt defeated Georgia 78-66 in the quarterfinals of the 2010 SEC Basketball Tournament on Friday night. Trey Thompkins, Georgia’s leading scorer, was held scoreless in the first half. He finished the game with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
The Commodores went on a 10-2 run to close the first half leading by eight. Georgia closed the lead to two with 17:47 remaining, but couldn’t pull any closer.
