The game marks the 105th edition of “Clean Old Fashioned Hate”, one of the nation’s most heated in-state rivalries. Georgia leads the overall series 62-37-5 and has dominated the Yellow Jackets over the last 20 games, winning 16 of 20.
Georgia (10-1, 7-1 SEC) has completed their SEC schedule and has clinched a birth in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 1 (Buy Tickets). The Dawgs will likely face Alabama.

UGA band members, students, and the UGA Paint Line are calling for a blackout of the Georgia Tech football game tomorrow.
Fans are encouraged to wear black to the game, which kicks off at noon eastern on ESPN. The Dawg Walk begins at 10:15 a.m., and the Seniors will be honored on the field at 11:46 a.m.

Georgia’s Nov. 24 home game against Georgia Tech will be televised by ESPN at noon, the SEC announced today.
This will be Georgia’s second appearance on ESPN and fifth overall on an ESPN network. UGA’s game against South Carolina was televised by ESPN while games against Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Auburn were on ESPN2.

A picture of a cake featuring Uga run over, presumably by the Ramblin’ Wreck, is making the rounds on the Internet this morning.
The cake was obviously created by a Georgia Tech fan because it comes complete with the “To Hell with Georgia” post-it note. It doesn’t look like a wedding cake though. The brick wall is a dead giveaway for the basement of your mom’s house.

Aaron Murray threw four touchdown passes to lead Georgia over Georgia Tech 31-17. The win was the 10th in a row for the Dawgs.
Murray, who finished the game 19-of-29 for 252 yards, completed touchdown passes to Michael Bennett, Chris Conley, Tavarres King and Aron White.

The Georgia at Georgia Tech football game from 1997 will be shown on ESPN Classic today at 4:00 p.m. ET.
After the Yellow Jackets took a 3-point lead with 48 seconds remaining, Mike Bobo led the Dawgs on a 65-yard drive culminating in an 8-yard touchdown pass to Corey Allen with 8 seconds remaining. Georgia won the game 27-24.

Georgia Tech was hit hard today by the NCAA Committee on Infractions after they cited the Yellow Jackets with multiple rules violations and failing to cooperate with their investigation.
As a result, Georgia Tech has been placed on four years probation and vacated their 2009 ACC Football Championship Game victory. The NCAA also placed restrictions on Tech’s men’s basketball scholarships.

Georgia trailed most of the game but battled back in the 2nd half to defeat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 73-72 at Alexander Memorial Coliseum in Atlanta.
Dustin Ware nailed his seventh three-pointer of the game with 15 seconds remaining in the game to give the Dawgs a 73-70 lead.

Georgia Tech has used the rush to pound opponents lately. Saturday night, the Georgia Bulldogs used the rush to upset the 7th-ranked Yellow Jackets 30-24 in Atlanta.
Georgia rushed for 339 yards, the most in the Mark Richt era. Washaun Ealey rushed for 183 yards and Caleb King rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns. It was also the first time the Dawgs had two 100 yard rushers in the same game since 2004.
