Wide receiver Christian Owens of Griffin, Ga. (Griffin H.S.) has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. He is the 1st commitment for UGA’s 2015 recruiting class.
Owens (6-5, 205) committed to the Bulldogs at today’s G-Day Spring Game. He also has a scholarship offer from Vanderbilt.
“Yes sir. He committed to Georgia today,” Griffin head coach Steve Devoursney told UGASports.com.

Defensive tackle Dontavius Russell of Carrollton, Ga. (Carrollton H.S.) has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for 2014. He is the 4th commitment for UGA’s 2014 recruiting class.
“All my coaches mom and dad think Georgia is a great fit for me and I agree,” Russell told UGASports.com. “I just think it is a good place to be and a good fit.”

Four-star JUCO defensive tackle Toby Johnson committed to the Georgia Bulldogs during a ceremony at his school this afternoon.
“I will be taking my talents to the University of Georgia,” Johnson said. “When I went down there, not only was it the facilities, but Coach (Mark) Richt and Coach (Chris) Wilson. Coach Wilson and I have a great relationship. That’s what sold me right there. It was pretty much where I wanted to be.”

Four-star JUCO defensive tackle Toby Johnson is set to announce his college decision today at a 3 p.m. ET ceremony at his school.
Johnson will choose between Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma. Most UGA recruiting pundits don’t feel that he will pick the Dawgs and that could be due to academic issues.
Further adding to the speculation that he won’t pick Georgia, Johnson told the AJC that he hasn’t talked to the Bulldogs “in a while.”

Wednesday, February 6 is National Signing Day 2013. The Georgia Bulldogs are once again expected to sign a Top 10 class.

Brendan Douglas, a fullback from Augusta, GA (Aquinas High School), has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2013 recruiting class.
Douglas (6-0, 217, 4.46) had been committed to Georgia Tech since mid-November, but spurned the Yellow Jackets and flipped his commitment to the Bulldogs when he got a late offer.

The Georgia Bulldogs have signed Chris Mayes, Jonathan Rumph, and Kennar Johnson, three JUCO football recruits for the 2013 recruiting class.
Mayes (6-4, 330) is a defensive lineman that will likely line up at nose guard for the Dawgs. The Rivals.com 3-star recruit graduated from Spalding High School in Griffin, Ga. and signed with the Bulldogs in 2011 as part of the “Dream Team.” However, he failed to qualify academically and has played the last two seasons at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Wide receiver Krenwick Sanders of Jesup, GA has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for 2014. He is the 3rd commitment for UGA’s 2014 recruiting class.
Sanders (6-2, 190) plays for Wayne County High School. As a freshman and sophomore, he combined for 86 receptions, 900+ yards receiving and 12 touchdowns. He also plays basketball and averaged 19 points and eight rebounds as a sophomore.

4-star cornerback Brendan Langley of Marietta, GA has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Langley was committed to South Carolina, but has now switched to UGA.
“I called Coach (Mark) Richt and told him I’m a Dawg,” Langley told UGASports.com.
Langley (6-1, 188) plays for Kell High School in Marietta. Besides the Gamecocks, he had offers from several top schools including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Tennessee, and UCLA.
