UGA board approves “Young Alumni Ticket Program”

Georgia BulldogsOn Tuesday, the UGA athletic board approved a new “Young Alumni Ticket Program” that will allow recent graduates (within the last 5 years) to obtain football season tickets.

The program starts in 2013 and the cost will be $40 per ticket. A donation to the Hartman Fund will not be required for the first year only. For the 2013 season, that will be a total of $240 since the Dawgs will have six home games.

2012 SEC Football Championship Game Tickets – Georgia vs. Alabama

2012 SEC Championship GameThe Georgia Bulldogs are set to play the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2012 SEC Football Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game will be televised by CBS at 4 p.m. ET.

Last week, the Georgia Bulldog Club announced the ticket cutoff scores for the game. If you did not qualify for tickets, that are plenty available on the secondary market through TicketNetwork.com. Current prices begin from around $342 per ticket.

Georgia will be the home team and will likely wear their traditional red jerseys. Alabama is designated as the visiting team and will likely wear their white jerseys.

All Hartman Fund donors who contributed a minimum of $250 per seat, placed a season ticket order and had a cumulative score of 250 or higher, will receive renewable season tickets for the 2012 season.

Georgia accepted an invitation to the 2012 Outback Bowl on January 2 and will face the Michigan State Spartans of the Big Ten. The 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship Game on January 9 features the Alabama Crimson Tide against the LSU Tigers.

Chick-fil-A College KickoffTickets for Georgia vs. Boise State in the 2011 Chick-fil-A College Kickoff in Atlanta are now officially sold out.

A limited number of upper deck tickets went on sale this morning at 9:00 a.m. on GeorgiaDogs.com, but sold out in a matter of minutes.

Georgia received a total of 53,522 tickets while Boise State received 7,500. The remaining 9,213 tickets were allocated to sponsors, Chick-fil-A Bowl renewal buyers and other sources.

Chick-fil-A College KickoffThe University of Georgia received 53,522 tickets for the upcoming Chick-fil-A College Kickoff against Boise State, Sicemdawgs.com has learned after obtaining a copy of the game contract.

Boise State received 7,500 tickets while Peach Bowl, Inc. received 993 tickets. The Georgia Dome seats 71,228 for football, so that leaves 9,213 tickets that will likely go to sponsors, Chick-fil-A Bowl renewal buyers and other sources.

Georgia-Florida Ticket Prices Going Up in 2012

Georgia-FloridaThe UGA Athletic Board approved a ticket hike for the Georgia-Florida game on Thursday. Regular seats were raised from $40 to $60 and club level seats were raised from $70 to $100 beginning in 2012.

In the future, the board will discuss raising ticket prices in 2014 and again in 2017. Regular tickets would rise to $70 in 2014 and $75 in 2017, while club level tickets would rise to $110 in 2014 and $120 in 2017.
