It’s almost game time! 3rd-ranked Georgia will take on 2nd-ranked Alabama in the 2012 SEC Championship Game this Saturday at the Georgia Dome. The game will be televised by CBS at 4 p.m. ET.
The game is officially sold out, but tickets are available through our vendor TicketNetwork.com. Prices for the game are slowly falling, with the cheapest ticket currently at $258. Last week, the lowest prices was over $350.
The stakes couldn’t be higher in this game. Not only does the winner win the 2012 SEC Championship, but they will also finish 2nd in the BCS standings which places them in the 2013 BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 7 against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Tickets).

On Saturday, the 3rd-ranked Georgia Bulldogs host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The game will be televised by ESPN at 12 p.m. ET.
The game marks the 105th edition of “Clean Old Fashioned Hate”, one of the nation’s most heated in-state rivalries. Georgia leads the overall series 62-37-5 and has dominated the Yellow Jackets over the last 20 games, winning 16 of 20.
Georgia (10-1, 7-1 SEC) has completed their SEC schedule and has clinched a birth in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 1 (Buy Tickets). The Dawgs will likely face Alabama.

On Saturday, the #5 Georgia Bulldogs (8-1, 6-1 SEC) travel to face the Auburn Tigers (2-7, 0-6 SEC). The game will be televised by ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET.
A win over Auburn would clinch the SEC Eastern Division title for Georgia and secure a trip to Atlanta for the Championship Game. It would also give the Bulldogs their second straight win over the Tigers and even the overall series at 54-54-8.
Last season in Athens, Georgia destroyed Auburn 45-7, exacting a bit of revenge after losing at Auburn 49-31 in 2010. The win was so sweet that it produced the following video:

On Saturday, the #6 Georgia Bulldogs (7-1, 5-1 SEC) host the Ole Miss Rebels (5-3, 2-2 SEC). The game will be televised by CBS at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Georgia is coming off of an emotional win over then 2nd-ranked Florida in Jacksonville. The Dawgs hope to maintain the energy level and defensive intensity from that game.
A win over Ole Miss would bring Georgia within one game of clinching the SEC Eastern Division title and a trip to Atlanta for the Championship Game. If Georgia wins, the Bulldogs would need a victory at Auburn on Nov. 17 to play in the Dome.

On Saturday, the 12th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs travel to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats. The game will be televised by Fox Sports Net at 7 p.m. ET.
Georgia (5-1, 3-1 SEC) is coming off of a bye week, which was preceded by an embarrassing 35-7 blowout loss at South Carolina. The Bulldogs hope to get back on the winning track and take out their frustration on the Wildcats.
Kentucky is abysmal this season. The Wildcats are 1-6 overall and 0-4 in the SEC, with their only victory this season coming over Kent State. The Cats even lost to Western Kentucky in overtime.

Georgia enters the game 5-0 overall (3-0 SEC) and ranked 5th in both major polls. Last week, the Dawgs beat Tennessee 51-44.
South Carolina has the same record as Georgia, 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the SEC. The Gamecocks are confident after back-to-back SEC wins over Missouri (31-10) and Kentucky (38-17). USC has also beaten Vanderbilt, East Carolina, and UAB.

Georgia enters the game 4-0 overall (2-0 SEC) and ranked 5th in both major polls. Last week, the Dawgs crushed Vanderbilt 48-3.
Tennessee heads into Athens 3-1 overall (0-1 SEC) after defeating Akron 47-26 last weekend. The Volunteers opened the season with a 35-21 win over NC State in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, and later beat Georgia State 51-13 and fell to Florida 37-20.

The game will be only the second ever meeting between the two schools. Georgia beat Missouri 14-0 in the 1960 Orange Bowl.
Missouri will be playing their first SEC game after they officially joined the conference on July 1.

The game will be the first ever between the two schools. Buffalo is a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) in the Football Bowl Subdivision. They have never defeated an SEC team, falling to Auburn 38-7 in 2006, Missouri 42-21 in 2008, and Tennessee 41-10 in 2011.

Kentucky embarrassed Georgia the last time they visited in 2009, winning 34-27. After leading 20-6 at halftime, the Bulldogs turned the ball over four times in the second half resulting in a humiliating loss.

Georgia and Florida continue their annual border war on Saturday, October 29, 2011 (3:30 p.m. ET – CBS). This year, both the Bulldogs and the Gators get the coveted off week prior to the big game in Jacksonville.
The 2011 “Georgia vs. Florida Football Classic” will be the first time in the 107 year history of the series that both teams are off the week prior. Georgia has won five straight while Florida limps in on a three-game losing streak, all to ranked teams.

Mississippi State upset Georgia last season 24-12 in Starkville. The “other” Bulldogs haven’t fared so well this season, starting 0-2 in the SEC after losses to Auburn (41-34) and LSU (19-6). Last week, State needed overtime to defeat Louisiana Tech 26-20.

Some have dubbed the game the “Hot Seat Bowl” due to the current head coaching situations at both schools. Mark Richt is under fire after going 6-7 in 2010 and starting 0-2 in 2011. Houston Nutt went 4-8 in 2010 and is 1-2 this season, including a loss to Vanderbilt last week.
