Georgia will be without another defensive player for the first two games of the 2012 season. Junior outside linebacker Chase Vasser has been suspended after a DUI arrest in May.
Vasser was arrested on May 11 at 2:33 a.m. in the Buckhead section of Atlanta. Trooper S. Tarpley of the Georgia State Patrol’s Nighthawk DUI task force pulled Vasser over after he noticed his vehicle was weaving.
The officer administered a sobriety test and a breathalyzer test, according to the incident report obtained by the Athens Banner-Herald.

Isaiah Crowell, who was dismissed from the Georgia Bulldogs last Friday, will enroll at Alabama State.
Crowell was kickoff off of the team after being arrested early last Thursday morning and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a weapon in a school zone, both felonies, and an altered ID mark on the gun, a misdemeanor.

Georgia Bulldogs running back Isaiah Crowell has been dismissed from the team, UGA announced this afternoon.
Crowell, a 5-11, 215-pound tailback from Columbus, Georgia, was arrested early this morning and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a weapon in a school zone, both felonies, and an altered ID mark on the gun, a misdemeanor.

Georgia Bulldogs tailback Isaiah Crowell was arrested and jailed last night on weapons charges, according to the Athens-Clarke County booking log.
Crowell, a 5-11, 215-pound tailback from Columbus, Georgia, was booked into the jail at 3:37 a.m. and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a weapon in a school zone and an altered ID mark. His bond was set at $7,500.
As a freshman, Crowell rushed for 850 yards and 5 touchdowns despite missing a game and a quarter to suspension and more time due to injuries.

Georgia Bulldogs basketball forward Donte Williams has been arrested for possession of marijuana, the AJC has reported.
Williams was arrested by Atlanta police officers and booked into the City of Atlanta Jail around 9 p.m. on Friday, May 25. According to police, Williams was the passenger in his black Dodge Charger when it drove by and had an “extremely strong odor of burning marijuana” coming from the vehicle.

Georgia All-American safety Bacarri Rambo is set to be suspended four games for allegedly eating pot brownies while on Spring Break in Panama City (FL), Rambo’s high school coach told the Athens Banner-Herald.
Alan Ingram, who coached Rambo at Seminole County High School, said that Rambo tested positive “after eating some brownies that he did not realize contained marijuana.”

UGA cornerback Branden Smith was arrested early this morning by the Henry County, AL Sheriff’s Department and charged with possession of marijuana.
Smith was the passenger in a 2007 Dodge Charger that was pulled over for following too close and no tag light. After approaching the vehicle, Deputy Motzenbecker smelled an odor resembling marijuana coming from the car.

Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Sanders Commings has been suspended for two games as a result of his arrest in January, head coach Mark Richt announced today.
Commings was arrested the morning of Saturday, Jan. 31 by the University of Georgia Police Department and charged with domestic violence/simple battery. The victim was a 23 year old female UGA student who lived with Commings.

Former Georgia Bulldogs running back Knowshon Moreno has been charged with driving under the influence and careless driving after getting pulled over in Denver.
Moreno was driving his Bentley convertible with a personalized license plate that reads “SAUCED.” He was pulled over on Feb. 1 after allegedly driving 70 mph in a 45 mph construction zone.

Three freshman Georgia Bulldogs football players, Sanford Seay, Nick Marshall, and Chris Sanders, have been dismissed from the team for violation of team rules, Mark Richt announced this morning.
The release doesn’t state what happened, but it is alleged that one or a combination of the players attempted to “steal approximately $500 from a teammate’s dorm room”.

Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Sanders Commings was arrested and charged with domestic violence/simple battery, the AJC has reported.
Commings was arrested early this morning by the University of Georgia Police Department and remains in jail as of this writing (4:05 p.m. ET).
Jimmy Williamson, UGA’s Police Chief, told the AJC that “…his officers were flagged down a little after 1 a.m. Saturday by persons in a vehicle in downtown Athens. At that time the female victim and four witnesses were interviewed by police. Commings had left the scene.”

Georgia Bulldogs outside linebacker Cornelius Washington was arrested and charged with DUI early this morning, Ledger-Enquirer.com has reported.
Washington, 22, was pulled over for speeding (92 mph in a 55 mph zone) and driving under the influence by the Commerce Police Department. The police report indicated that his blood-alcohol level was .12. He was released from the Jackson County Jail this morning after posting a $3,500 bond.

Georgia Bulldogs basketball signee Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been cleared to play in 2011 by the NCAA and the SEC, UGA announced on Tuesday.
Caldwell-Pope’s name came up during a police investigation in Columbus, GA into improper use of a parks and recreation department bank account. He allegedly received funds from an administrator of the account, along with UGA football player Jarvis Jones. Jones was cleared to play last month.

The University of Georgia has issued a statement that there are “…no issues with UGA or eligibility issues with Orson Charles.” Charles’ name came up yesterday in the Yahoo story on infractions at Miami.

A Carver-Columbus recruit, Deion Bonner, has been charged with theft in the UGA locker room incident. Marquis Hawkins and a juvenile have also been charged in the case.
The incident happened on April 7 during an open house at Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall. Bonner and Hawkins, along with the juvenile, allegedly stole iPods and iPhones from seven Bulldog football players.

UGA running back Caleb King has been suspended two games by head coach Mark Richt, the school announced today.
King was arrested early Monday morning after Athens Police discovered that he had a bench warrant from Walton County for failure to appear in court. King received a speeding citation on June 20 and was supposed to appear on August 6.

The NCAA has upheld the four-game suspension of Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green. Therefore, Green must sit out the Arkansas game and the Mississippi State game.
Green was suspended on September 8 for for selling his 2009 Independence Bowl jersey to former UNC football player Chris Hawkins, a person the NCAA deems an “agent.”
