Central Michigan Chippewas To Face Georgia In Athens In 2008

The Georgia Bulldogs are close to finalizing a deal to face the Central Michigan Chippewas in Athens in 2008. The game will be played on September 6 or October 4. Central Michigan won the MAC Championship Game last season by defeating Ohio 31-10. They beat MTSU 31-14 in the Motor City Bowl and finished the 2006 season with a 10-4 record.

Georgia already faces a tough schedule in 2008. The Bulldogs host Georgia Southern, Alabama, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech. They play at South Carolina, Arizona State, LSU, Kentucky and Auburn. The Dawgs also have their annual contest with Florida in Jacksonville. This will most likely be one of the strongest schedules in the country.
