Georgia Defeats Troy 44-34

Knowshon Moreno rushed 26 times for 196 yards and three touchdowns as the no. 10 Georgia Bulldogs outlasted the Troy Trojans 44-34 in Athens. Moreno scored on runs of 80, 1 and 1 and now has 1,003 rushing yards this season.

Moreno is the first Bulldog to eclipse 1,000 yards rushing since Musa Smith in 2002. He is also the first UGA freshman to rush for over 1,000 yards since Herschel Walker in 1980.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 17 of 29 passes for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns. He threw one pass that was picked off in the end zone.

The Bulldog defense had a tough day stopping the Trojans and quarterback Omar Haugabook. Haugabook completed 29 of 45 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns.
