Marcus Dowtin Commits To Georgia Football

Running back/linebacker Marcus Dowtin of Fork Union, Virginia (Fork Union Military Academy) has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Dowtin is the 28th rated running back by Rivals.com, but he is projected to be a linebacker in college.

Dowtin (6-2, 215, 4.4) committed to the Dawgs over offers from Clemson, Marshal, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Rutgers, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Dowtin chose the Bulldogs for several reasons. One reason is the lack of depth Georgia will have at linebacker in 2008. The Dowtin's also have family in Georgia and South Carolina, and they wanted to be able to see Marcus play.
