Georgia Defeats Arizona State 27-10

Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs traveled farther west than they have since 1960 and defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils 27-10. The Bulldogs ran out to a 14-0 lead on two Knowshon Moreno touchdowns and never looked back. Freshman A.J. Green had a spectacular day catching the football. He caught a 14-yard strike from Matthew Stafford in the 2nd quarter and finished the game with 8 receptions for 159 yards.

Stafford threw for a career-high 285 yards. He completed 16 of 28 passes and threw the one touchdown to Green.

Knowshon Moreno continued to carry the load for the Dawgs, rushing for 149 yards on 23 carries. He now has a total of 455 yards rushing and 9 touchdowns this season.

The Bulldogs remained at no. 3 in both the AP and USA Today Coaches’ Poll. USC is first and Oklahoma is second. The Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia’s next opponent, is ranked 8th in the AP and 10th in the Coaches’ Poll.
