Georgia Slips By Kentucky 42-38

Defensive end Demarcus Dobbs intercepted a screen pass by Randall Cobb with less than a minute left to help the Georgia Bulldogs beat the Kentucky Wildcats 42-38. The Dawgs went ahead for good with two minutes remaining when Matthew Stafford connected with freshman A.J. Green in the corner of the end zone. That touchdown would end up being the game winner after Dobbs’ great defensive play.

Stafford, coming off a dismal 3-interception day against Florida, threw for a career-high 376 yards and no interceptions. He threw touchdown passes to Green, Mohamed Massaquoi and Shaun Chapas. On the ground, tailback Knowshon Moreno rushed for 123 yards and scored three touchdowns.

The win moves the Bulldogs to 8-2 overall and 5-2 in the SEC. Georgia has only two regular season games remaining, at the Auburn Tigers this weekend and home against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on November 29.
