Black Out for Alabama Game; ESPN Gameday to be in Athens

Georgia Bulldogs

Mark Richt and the Georgia Bulldog Seniors will don the black jerseys on Saturday against the Alabama Crimson Tide. They have requested another Blackout, meaning that all UGA fans attending the game should wear black if possible.

The Bulldogs first wore their black jerseys last season at home against the Auburn Tigers. They won that contest 45-20. They wore black again for their Sugar Bowl game against the Hawaii Warriors and prevailed 41-10.

The game will be televised by ESPN at 7:45 p.m. ET.

ESPN Gameday will be in Athens for the Georgia-Alabama game. The 2-hour college football pregame show is hosted by Chris Fowler, along with Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard. Gameday’s last visit to Athens was October 10, 1998 when the Bulldogs lost to Tennessee 22-3.
