Reports: Georgia Quarterback Joe Cox has Flu-like Symptoms

SicEmDawgs.com

Various news reports are indicating that Georgia Bulldogs starting quarterback Joe Cox has flu-like symptoms. Those sources also say that Cox has been sick the past couple of days.

UGA has issued the following release on the matter:

“Georgia quarterback Joe Cox experienced flu-like symptoms Thursday and did not practice. However, he has improved today and is expected to join the team in Stillwater tonight.”

Cox will start the game on Saturday against Oklahoma State. He was put on a separate flight in order to protect the rest of the team.

If Joe Cox were unable to play or played sparingly, sophomore QB Logan Gray would likely see most of the snaps. Freshmen quarterbacks Aaron Murray and Zach Mettenberger are also making the trip to Stillwater.
