PF Donte Williams Commits to the Georgia Bulldogs for 2010

SicEmDawgs.com

The Georgia Bulldogs have received a verbal commitment from Lithonia, Georgia (Miller Grove H.S.) power forward Donte Williams. Williams is the second 2010 commitment for head coach Mark Fox and the Dawgs.

Williams (6-9, 200) committed to UGA over offers from Auburn, East Carolina, Georgia Southern, UAB and UCF.

Rivals.com ranks Williams as a 3-star recruit while Scout.com ranks him as a 2-star recruit. Williams averaged 13 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks a game during his senior season.

While not a highly ranked recruit, Williams fills a need at the post position. Albert Jackson has completed his eligibility, and Chris Barnes and Jeremy Price will be seniors this year. Williams should provide the Dawgs with great defense and will hopefully develop into a better scorer.
