Georgia Bulldogs Depth Chart Released, Aaron Murray No. 1 Quarterback

SicEmDawgs.com

Mark Richt released the post-Spring Georgia Bulldogs football depth chart this afternoon. Aaron Murray is the no. 1 quarterback heading into Fall camp.

Murray (6-1, 209) is a redshirt freshman from Tampa, Florida (Plant High School). He garnered several accolades coming out of high school including being named Parade Magazine All-American, U.S. Army All-American, SuperPrep All-America and All-Dixie. He was the MVP of the 2008 EA Sports Elite 11 Camp and was ranked the no. 3 quarterback in the country by both Rivals.com and Scout.com.

The no. 2 quarterback is junior Logan Gray (6-2, 195). Gray was also the no. 2 quarterback in 2009 behind Joe Cox. For what its worth, Mark Richt stated today that even if Zach Mettenberger hadn’t been dismissed from the team, Murray would still have been named no. 1.

Washaun Ealey and Caleb King are co-no. 1’s at the tailback position. However, King is not listed on the charts because he was injured at the close of Spring practice.
