Georgia didn’t have an answer for Notre Dame’ Tim Abromaitis in overtime at the Old Spice Classic. Abromaitis finished the game with 25 points to lead the Irish to an 89-83 victory over the Bulldogs in two overtimes.

The Bulldogs led the Fighting Irish by 12 at halftime, but went cold in the 2nd half and allowed Notre Dame to get back in the game with a 14-0 run.

Georgia shot too many three-pointers on the night, 34 total, and only made nine of them (26.5%). The Dawgs were also bad from the free-throw line (10 of 20).

Travis Leslie led the Dawgs with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Trey Thompkins, playing in his first game of the season after suffering a high ankle sprain, scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

The loss drops the Bulldogs to 3-1 and into the losers bracket of the Old Spice Classic. Georgia will play the loser of tonight’s California vs. Temple game on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

If the Dawgs win, they will face the winner of the Temple-California game on Friday, November 26 at 5:00 p.m. (ESPN2). Their final game of the tournament will be on Sunday against either Boston College or Manhattan.
