Georgia blew a 14-point second-half lead and fell to the visiting Vanderbilt Commodores 64-56 Wednesday evening. The loss drops the Hoop Dawgs to 17-8 overall and 6-5 in the SEC.

The Bulldogs led by six at the half and by 14 with just over 13 minutes left in the game. But the Commodores went on a 24-3 run to take the game and sole possession of second place in the SEC East.

Again the Dawgs had trouble scoring in the second half, and again it cost them the game. Georgia’s last field goal came with almost 10 minutes remaining.

Georgia was outrebounded 49-32 overall and 23-9 on the offensive glass. That discrepancy along with a lack of late scoring is not going to win you many ball games.

Gerald Robinson (15) and Dustin Ware (12) were the only UGA players to score in double-figures.

Next up for the Bulldogs is a trip to Knoxville to face the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, February 19 (1:00 p.m. ET; CBS).
