The brochure mailed to UGA basketball season ticket holders has revealed that the Hoop Dawgs have added Delaware State to their 2011-12 basketball schedule. Also, dates for the CBE Classic home games and the SEC home games were listed.
Georgia will host the Delaware State Hornets at Stegeman Coliseum on December 30. Georgia and Delaware State’s first and only meeting was in 2007 in Athens. The Bulldogs won that game 58-47.
The CBE Classic regional games in Athens will be played on November 13 and November 16. Opponents for those two games remain unannounced.
Update (08/12/2011) – Georgia’s opponent in the Nov. 16 CBE Classic game will be South Dakota State (h/t Marc Weiszer).
Also listed in the brochure are the dates for the eight SEC home games. Georgia’s 2012 SEC home opener is on January 7 against the Alabama Crimson Tide. This game may also be the first SEC game the Dawgs play in 2012. Listed below are the SEC home dates:
