Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 15 points to lead the Georgia Bulldogs over the Wofford Terriers 62-49 in their season-opener.

The Dawgs struggled offensively shooting only 34 percent from the floor. That allowed Wofford to cut the lead to three with 14:12 remaining in the game. But Georgia managed to hit some shots and slowly pull away.

Dustin Ware scored 14 points and Gerald Robinson added 11 points for the Hoop Dawgs. The bench was emptied at the end of the game and even football signee Jay Rome played a minute.

Georgia begins the regional round of the 2011 Progressive CBE Classic on Sunday, Nov. 13 at home against the Bowling Green Falcons (6:00 p.m. ET; ESPNU).
