CB/WR Rico Johnson commits to Georgia for 2013

SicEmDawgs.com

Rico JohnsonRico Johnson, a cornerback/wide receiver from Swainsboro, Georgia, verbally committed to the Bulldogs yesterday at the Mark Richt Mini Camp.

Johnson’s commitment gives the Dawgs 19 overall for the 2013 class. Georgia had been up to 20 commitments until both Derrick Henry and Kryin Priester decommitted earlier this week.

Georgia was the second school to offer Rico Johnson after Marshall. But the Dawgs have always been his dream school and he wowed them with a 4.28 in the 40-yard dash.

“It was a great day,” Johnson told UGASports.com. “Coach Richt came over and asked me, “How would you like to be a Bulldog?’ I smiled big and started crying a little bit, and said that I would be happy to be a Bulldog and became one right there.”

Johnson joins Uriah LeMay, Tramel Terry and Reggie Davis as wide receiver commitments. However, Johnson could also line up at cornerback for the Dawgs.
