Gametime 2012 – Buffalo at Georgia

Georgia BulldogsThe Georgia Bulldogs kick off the 2012 season against the Buffalo Bulls Saturday at Sanford Stadium in Athens. The game will be televised by the SEC Network at 12:21 p.m. ET.

The game will be the first ever between the two schools. Buffalo is a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) in the Football Bowl Subdivision. They have never defeated an SEC team, falling to Auburn 38-7 in 2006, Missouri 42-21 in 2008, and Tennessee 41-10 in 2011.

Georgia comes into the game ranked 6th in the country in both the AP Top 25 and USA Today Sports Coaches Top 25.

Under head coach Mark Richt, the Bulldogs are 9-2 in season openers. Overall, Georgia is 89-26-3 on opening day.

Captains for the game will be junior quarterback Aaron Murray, senior defensive end Abry Jones, senior safety Shawn Williams
and senior snapper Ty Frix.
